Synopsis of the Adopt a School Tag Rugby Programme PDF Print
  • The Corporate would inform Tag Rugby of the School they would like to adopt or alternatively Tag Rugby will approach a Corporate with a school in mind.
  • Tag Rugby would contact the School and ensure that the School is committed to the Project.
  • If the School shows an interest Tag Rugby will invoice the Corporate for the Tag Rugby belts and then go to the school and run a clinic with the school.
  • Tag Rugby will show the children how to play, empower a teacher and some students so that they can supervise the playing of the game on an ongoing basis.
  • Tag Rugby will also supply the Corporate once a term with a report as well as with pictures of the progress the school has made. The Corporate will also have the opportunity to visit the School when Tag Rugby is going to be played if they would like to.
  • The idea is to in the future use this Programme to get a Schools league going in areas where the Adopt a School Tag Rugby Programme is being run and to have a season culminating Tag Rugby Tournament with all the schools involved in the programme playing at a single venue.
Tag Rugby feels that with the Adopt a School Tag Programme the Corporate Company will firstly, have someone accountable for the donation and secondly, also the learners at the schools will benefit by virtue of the fact that they are getting exercise and at the same time having fun. We have found that Tag Rugby due to the very nature of the game improves Learners’ eye-hand co-ordination and concentration levels in the School environment.

Each Adopted School will receive a kit includes 80 rugby belts, Tag Rugby manual, 4 whistles, 4 rugby balls and a kit bag for the School as well as the training sessions. The aim of the programme is to get all Schools that are Adopted by the Corporate Company to participate in a Tournament where the Corporate Company can see the fruits of their investment in promoting sport in the School they have adopted.
