The TAG Rugby Association has a very good working relationship with the Blue Bulls. We have worked extensively with Johan Schoeman, Anton van der Merwe and Peter Makgobo on our successful grassroots development Festivals during the British and Irish Lions Tour. HSBC, Principal Sponsor of the Lions and TAG ran clinics in this region from March – July 2009 in 6 schools in this region. The aim is to grow the number of schools playing TAG Rugby™ considerably in the next 12 months.

The support we have received from the Union has been fantastic and we look forward to developing the relationship further.

We see this region as one where TAG Rugby™ can be used proactively to promote Rugby in schools that have never experienced the game.
