This union has also been a part of the HSBC Rugby Festival Programme during the British and Irish Lions Tour of 2009. The support from and assistance we received from Quentin Reynolds and the Sharks was unbelievable. The clinic in the shadows of the massive ABSA Stadium and was a great success.

Five schools benefited directly from the Festival in terms of kit, equipment. The Association has had many enquiries from this region. We feel that the potential in this region is also unbelievable and we have held clinics and introductory presentations for schools as far afield as Richards Bay.
